Texas: Mom bites off dog’s ear to save 2 year old daughter

US: Woman bit off the pit-bull terrier’s  ear to save her 2 year old daughter.

According to the media reports, the incident took place in the region of Alvin, Texas. It is reported that the Chelsi Camp’s daughter McKenzi Plass was attacked by a neighbours dog near their home.

Chelsi Camp told media reports that:

“The dog came up and it was just curious. When it smelled her, it flipped. Maybe because he smelled my dog on her.”

As the dog attacked her daughter, Camp reacted by first shoving her fist into the dog’s mouth and then biting off its ear, while turning her daughter over to ensure the child didn’t choke on blood.

Later, Camp somehow managed to call 911 while fighting the dog. According to the sources the dog was shot by a police officer, but was not killed

Camp’s daughter “McKenzi “is now recovering gradually from the wounds suffered in the attack and has scars on her face and neck. She has been asked to stay out of the Sun for almost a year.

For Camp, the hardest part came after the attack: She temporarily lost the use of her arms. She said that:

“I can actually hold her again. I couldn’t hold her for the first week that was the hardest part.”
